Abu joined the crew at age 16 as a junior to see what the fire service could offer.

As the years went by,  his victories overcame his mishaps in life as he strives to do the best job he can. No matter how small a call can sound, he tries to incorporate safety for himself and his firefighter brethren and make sure a false alarm is indeed a false alarm.

 Abu graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) majoring in Safety Sciences, a major inspired by the fire service. This degree has lead him to become the Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator for Cardinal Systems, a pool manufacturing plant. Now back from college, his responsibilities will grow as he gains more knowledge and experience.

Although working and firefighting seem to keep him busy, Abu trys to make every effort to help his mother out with her ownership of Basciano Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning. In his free time, he prefers to go socialize with friends, play video games, and jam out to music.
